SOCOTEC strengthens Its U.S. platform with the acquisitions of Advance Testing and AAR Testing & Inspection

SOCOTEC, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification for the built environment, announces the acquisition of Advance Testing Inc., a full-service construction materials testing and inspection firm headquartered in Campbell Hall, New York, and AAR Testing & Inspection Inc., a certified inspection and materials testing company based in Redmond, Washington.

These two acquisitions significantly enhance SOCOTEC’s national presence in the USA, expanding its capabilities across the East Coast and establishing a major new hub in the Pacific Northwest.

Synergies and strategic value for SOCOTEC in the U.S.

With these acquisitions, SOCOTEC accelerates the expansion of its national platform in several strategic dimensions. The Group now benefits from a truly unified coast-to-coast TIC footprint, extending from the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic to the Southeast and, for the first time, the Pacific Northwest. This enlarged presence is reinforced by highly complementary service lines that further strengthen SOCOTEC’s core U.S. verticals, including Infrastructure, Building Code Compliance, Materials Testing, Environmental Services, and Advisory. The integration of Advance Testing and AAR Testing & Inspection also creates new synergies with existing SOCOTEC operations—most notably with Ninyo & Moore—while bolstering the Group’s previously under-scaled activities in the Seattle region. Together, these capabilities significantly enhance SOCOTEC’s ability to support major infrastructure programs across the country, from rail and highway networks to bridges, municipal assets, and large private developments. Finally, the acquisitions reinforce SOCOTEC’s talent engine, drawing on Advance Testing’s long-established training and certification ecosystem to support workforce development and future growth.

This coordinated expansion reinforces SOCOTEC USA’s strong growth trajectory, which has seen the company expand from a niche consultancy in 2019, and more than twenty-five acquisitions after to a 1,700-person, multi-disciplinary organization operating across more than 35 offices nationwide.
