PROJECT SUMMARY

SOCOTEC’s Asbestos team has been awarded positions on two national framework agreements within the public sector – NHS Shared Business Services and South East Consortium. NHS Shared Business Services is a joint venture company which provides a more efficient method of supplying business services to NHS (National Health Service) trusts, while South East Consortium is a not-for-profit organisation which delivers efficiency savings to the public sector, including social housing providers, local authorities, education and health-related organisations.

PROJECT DETAILS

• SOCOTEC has been awarded two-year framework agreements with both NHS Shared Business Services and South East Consortium to deliver asbestos management and other related services
• SOCOTEC was assessed on a wide range of criteria to qualify for the framework agreement with NHS Shared Business Services, including confidentiality, service standards, staffing, recruitment, contract management, continuous improvement and social value, achieving the maximum score for excellency across many
• The team will provide asbestos management services for NHS Shared Business Services properties in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
• They will also deliver a range of asbestos-related services to properties in the public sector on behalf of South East Consortium (local authorities, education and healthcare etc). This will include asbestos management, inspections, refurbishment, demolition and reinspections, as well as air monitoring.
