Acquisition of Greenwich S.r.l
Leading provider of testing, inspection and certification services, SOCOTEC Group has announced the acquisition of Greenwich S.r.l., a renowned Italian consulting firm specializing in green building certifications and environmental services.
Founded in 2007, Greenwich is an Italian trusted provider of consultancy services based in Bergamo and Milan, advising Real Estate developers and investors, construction and manufacturing companies with integrated services in the ESG strategic space. The company offers 3 services: (i) consultancy for obtaining Green & Health Building Certifications (such as LEED, BREEAM, Well and Fitwel); (ii) Environmental and Safety Due Diligence; (iii) Consultancy for Environmental Product Certification (such as Life Cycle Assessment, Environmental Product Declaration, Cradle to Cradle).
Greenwich brings a prestigious track record of consulting for major building certifications in Milan, including landmark LEED projects for Porta Nuova Garibaldi, the Nestlé headquarters and Gioiaotto building. The company has conducted over 250 due diligence assessments for major industrial and luxury players across Europe.
The strategic acquisition significantly expands SOCOTEC's capabilities in the growing field of environmental sustainability and ESG compliance, while reinforcing the company's impressive growth trajectory in Italy. SOCOTEC Italia has demonstrated remarkable development, growing from €20 million in revenue in 2019 to €120 million in 2025, while expanding its workforce tenfold from 100 to 1,000 employees. This impressive growth has established SOCOTEC Italia as a key player in the infrastructure sector across the country.
This acquisition will allow SOCOTEC Italia to enter the Real Estate and Construction markets beyond its proven track record and leadership in the infrastructure sector.
